Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to Nikah Connect. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, mobile app, and other services (collectively, the “Service”). By registering or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Who We Are

Nikah Connect is a free, non-profit matrimonial platform built around Islamic values and tradition. We enable families, parents or guardians to create profiles for their children (or relatives) and connect with other trusted families for marriage. No user is charged

Eligibility & Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to register.
  • Profiles are typically created by parents, guardians or family members on behalf of a prospective candidate; you represent that you have the authority/consent to create such a profile.
  • You must provide true, accurate, current and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
  • You agree not to register if you are already married (unless specifically permitted) or if your profile would violate any applicable law or these Terms.
  • We reserve the right to refuse registration or terminate your account if we believe, in our sole discretion, that you are ineligible or misrepresented information.

Free Service Commitment

Nikah Connect remains free of cost for users. We do not charge registration fees, membership fees, or any payment for matchmaking. You agree not to solicit or request payments from other users through the Service.

Data & Communications

  • You consent to receive communications from us (including emails, SMS/text, push notifications) in connection with your use of the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for the information you share in your profile, in chats, or in any communication with other users. While we offer an internal chat tool for families to communicate, Nikah Connect does not monitor or read private chat communications.
  • Please do not share personal contact information (such as email addresses, phone numbers, social media handles) with other users until you are certain of their trustworthiness and the process is suitably formalised.
  • We respect your privacy: we will not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

Use of the Service & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Service in a manner consistent with Islamic values of respect, modesty, truthfulness and integrity. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Upload misleading, false or inappropriate content or profiles.
  • Use the Service to harass, intimidate, abuse or exploit other users.
  • Solicit or advertise any payment (financial or otherwise) for matchmaking, introductions or third-party services.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age, marital status or other relevant information.
  • Use the chats or profiles for purposes other than the intended purpose of family-led matrimonial introductions.

Verification & Accuracy of Content

While we undertake profile verification (to the extent possible), you acknowledge that we do not guarantee the accuracy of any user profile or representation. It remains your responsibility to verify any information, conduct appropriate due diligence, and consult your family and community as suited.

Termination or Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

  • You breach these Terms.
  • You engage in prohibited conduct.
  • We believe your profile or activity poses a risk to the community or to the integrity of the Service. You may also terminate your account at any time via your account settings. Upon termination, some provisions of these Terms (such as data retention, indemnity or disclaimers) may continue to apply.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided on an “as-is” basis, and we make no warranties regarding the Service (including fitness for a particular purpose, completeness, or outcomes).
  • We cannot guarantee successful matches or introductions, or the behaviour of other users.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nikah Connect and its officers, employees or agents are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, your reliance on any profile, or any connection made through the Service.

Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. By using the Service you agree to that policy.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will inform you via email or by posting a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

The laws of the State of New York, USA, shall govern these Terms. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New York
